How the Referral Program Works

Referrers will be provided a personal link which they can share with people from their network who are potential OurCrowd investors. If the person that was contacted (Referred Investor) uses their personal link to sign up, they will be marked as referred by the person who sent them the link, unless they are already OurCrowd subscribers.

For each successful referral, the Referrer and the Referred Investor will receive a $1,000 management fee offset credit for future investments in OurCrowd deals (excluding third-party deals or funds).

Successful Referrals

To be considered a successful referral, the following conditions must be met:

  • The Referred Investor successfully completed the onboarding and accreditation process to OurCrowd’s full satisfaction
  • The Referred Investor successfully creates and funds at least $25,000 in a Portfolio Select account on the OurCrowd platform
  • The Referred Investor was not previously registered with OurCrowd under any email address or alias
  • If a Referred Investor subscribes to OurCrowd through any method other than the Referrer’s link, the registration will not count as a qualified referral and the Referrer will not earn credit

Using the Referral Credit

With the management fee offset credit, the Referrer and Referred Investor will be able to reduce management fees up to a total of $1,000. For investments with management fees of less than $1,000, the credit can be used to fully cover the management fee on that investment, though residual credit cannot be applied to management fees on future investments.

For investments with management fees with an aggregate amount exceeding $1,000, the referral credit can be applied for a full $1,000 discount, but fees in excess of the $1,000 credit will be paid by the investor.

There is a limit of one credit that each Referrer and Referred Investor may use per investment, and credits may never be redeemed for cash.

Referrers and Referred investors should inform OurCrowd to which investment they would like the credit applied; it will not be applied automatically.
